Swedish Massage

Swedish massage, developed by Henri Peter Ling at the University of Stockholm in 1812, is the foundation for many other types of massage. Swedish massage employs a mixture of five different movements

  • Effleurage: Long gliding strokes, toward the heart to aid lymphatic flow
  • Petrissage: Gentle kneading and compression movements to enhance deeper circulation
  • Friction: Deep circular or transverse movements to break down adhesions and knots
  • Tapotement: Brisk percussive movements, releasing tension from muscles in spasm
  • Vibration or shaking: Boosting circulation and increasing the power of muscles to contract

Using a combination of these movements and specially chosen massage oils and lotions,I offer a massage individually for you
