Swedish Massage
Swedish massage, developed by Henri Peter Ling at the University of Stockholm in 1812, is the foundation for many other types of massage. Swedish massage employs a mixture of five different movements
- Effleurage: Long gliding strokes, toward the heart to aid lymphatic flow
- Petrissage: Gentle kneading and compression movements to enhance deeper circulation
- Friction: Deep circular or transverse movements to break down adhesions and knots
- Tapotement: Brisk percussive movements, releasing tension from muscles in spasm
- Vibration or shaking: Boosting circulation and increasing the power of muscles to contract
Using a combination of these movements and specially chosen massage oils and lotions,I offer a massage individually for you
